Nanoscale Imaging of Bilogical, Chemical, and Physical Processes



We develop microscopy methods to directly observe what is going on in nanoscale processes in physics, chemistry and biology.

 

We work on

  • gas phase reactions on microfabricated heaters for in-situ electron microscopy

  • novel microfluidic chips systems to image processes in liquids with scanning and transmission electron micrscopes (SEM and TEM). 

  • Biological electron microscopy

  • Microfluidic systems

  • Nanomaterials synthesis

  • Nanomaterials applications in catalysis, energy storage and conversion.
