Professor Anders Kristensen

Professor Kristensen, DTU Nanotech, has been elected a Fellow Member of The Optical Society (OSA) for his pioneering contributions to optofluidics and applications of optical metasurfaces. Principal factors for election to OSA Fellow include candidates’ achievements in business leadership, education, research, engineering and service to OSA and the global optics community.

"I’m deeply honored by this international recognition of my research and innovation achievements. It is highly encouraging for my continued efforts on optofluidics and applications of optical metasurfaces at DTU", says Professor Kristensen.

With such a fellowship, he is part of an exclusive group. No more than 10% of the total current membership of the society can be fellows. Fellowships are awarded to members based on their distinctive work in the advancement of optics and photonics, and their achievements in business leadership, education, research, engineering and service. This year 98 members were elected fellows. Read more about the 2019 Fellow Class and OSA here
